Valley Crime Stoppers
Bringing closure to victims of crime
Fresno Area Crime Stoppers was formed in 1993. The name Valley Crime Stoppers was chosen in recent years to reflect our ongoing efforts to make not only Fresno a safer place to live, but the entire San Joaquin Valley.
Our mission is to deter, reduce, and help solve crimes by paying cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrests through partnerships with law enforcement and media within the valley. As a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, we have given nearly $2,000,000 in rewards for anonymous tips leading to more than 13,000 arrests over the last 30 years. All rewards are paid using the generous contributions of our amazing corporate sponsors.
Valley Crime Stoppers is made up of 27 volunteer board members, a law enforcement Program Coordinator, and a Program Director. Together, we meet once a month with law enforcement representatives and discuss crime and notable cases. We post those cases to our 20,000+ social media followers and encourage anyone with information to submit their anonymous tips.
Once a year, Valley Crime Stoppers hosts a fundraiser called “June Jam” on the first Saturday of June. Known as one of the largest outdoor fundraisers in the valley, we regularly see over 1,000 attendees and raise funds that run our day-to-day operations throughout the year. We also use funds raised from June Jam to donate five $1,000 scholarships to Fresno City College for deserving students studying to become law enforcement officers.
We strongly believe law enforcement and victims of crime need support now more than ever. Valley Crime Stoppers is committed to growing our reach beyond Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare counties and remains dedicated to supporting law enforcement through our non-profit for generations to come.
